Apple Mail Takes Accounts Offline for Days

Last updated 2012-02-06 - Send Feedback
Related: Apple macOS

On numerous occassions, AppleMail has taken my mail accounts offline and they stay that way! A day or two later, I would notice the lack of email, then realize what had happened.

It’s a frustrating problem, perhaps caused by the OS X Lion Not Connected to the Internet bug. What does a casual user do about such a bug? It’s not obvious when it happens.

I have had to train myself to make sure email accounts are online (I have 6 or 7 different email accounts).
