Pixellated Image Previews in Lion Finder

2011-08-08 updated 2011-12-22 - Send Feedback
Related: Apple macOS, macOS Finder

Status: still broken in 10.7.2.

Under Snow Leopard, one could use the Mac OS X Finder to review images quickly and efficiently.

Under Mac OS X Lion, the Finder displays extremely poor quality pixellated previews that greatly degrade the value of the preview— what’s the point of large previews if they look awful?

What’s strange is that this problem sometimes fixes itself, suggesting a plain old bug.
