PhaseOne CaptureOne Pro is used by many professional photographers, offering very high image quality and excellent color. However, it does not support either Hasselblad X1D or Fujifilm GFX files, presumably because these are medium format competitors. Accordingly, those raw files are not included in this test, unlike the Adobe Lightroom test.

With 18 CPU cores, it looks like PhaseOne has a lot of work ahead of them to make CaptureOne Pro perform properly.
Results below with macOS 10.13.3 including the Apple Supplementary Update. See the results from more systems with macOS 10.12.2 further below.

Below—although CaptureOne Pro does a very fine job of using CPU cores, the 2010 Mac Pro and 2013 Mac Pro lag the 4-core 2017 iMac 5K, showing that the iMac 5K is a very strong value.
The 2017 iMac 5K beats out all models of the iMac Pro for Import. This suggests that Import is gated by some factor that lets the fast CPU cores of the 2017 iMac 5K dominate. It also means that pro shooters shooting tethered might do well to take a good look at the 2017 iMac 5K.
The 10-core iMac Pro is slightly faster than the 8-core Mac Pro, but this advantage is modest. And both are beat by the iMac 5K on Import.
CaptureOne Pro uses the GPU also, but here the Vega 64 offers near zero advantage over the Vega 56 video card, even though CaptureOne Pro uses the GPU.
