MPG tested a fully-loaded Apple 2018 MacBook Pro 15-inch 2.9 GHz 32GB 2TB Radeon Pro 560X. The only better model is the same configuration with a 4TB SSD.

This set of tests with these Photoshop filters offers a detailed look as to how the 2018 MacBook Pro fares with to the 2015 MacBook Pro (and thus by implication the 2016 MacBook Pro and 2017 MacBook Pro) as well as the 2017 iMac 5K.
Results: Photoshop Filters
The 2017 iMac 5K is included for reference (gray bars).
The results are a mixed bag, but summarized show the following:
The 2018 MacBook Pro (green bars) impresses versus the 2015 MacBook Pro, but only partially: while it is considerably faster for some tests (Pixellate, Noise, Blur) and massively faster for sharpen, it is actually a little slower or not much faster for LensCorrections and Distort and Various.
Nor can the 2018 MacBook Pro match the 2017 iMac 5K, in spite of having 6 cores versus only 4 cores for the 2017 iMac 5K.
