Adobe Camera Raw Enhance Details is a CPU-intensive task that seemingly uses little GPU power, at least according to Apple Activity Monitor %GPU readout. It does not utilize CPU cores all that well, eg 6 cores out of 24 on the 24-core Mac Pro. And yet...

The 2023 Mac Pro M2 Ultra is unbeatable, and leaves the the 28-core 2019 Mac Pro far behind. Even the 2021 Macbook Pro M1 Max impresses.
Performance here compares favorably to the Apple Mac Studio M1 Ultra (not shown here, follow the link), although those tests were run on a prior version of macOS and year-older Photoshop.
The M1 Max takes 16% longer than the M2 Max.
