For example, I now use a green Thunderbolt cable for Thunderbolt networking, a red cable to one group of drives, etc. Thunderbolt cables in red, green, blue, black.

Suggestion: choose a color for each Thunderbolt bus, something like red for bus 1, green for bus 2, blue for bus 3, black for daisy-chaining.
