Caution When Upgrading to OS X Mavericks: Kernel Extensions (ATTO, Drobo)

A note of caution for anyone with specialized storage: new security model features in OS X Mavericks (due out very soon) disable some kernel extensions.

While I don’t use them any more, both ATTO and Drobo kernel extensions were deemed “incompatible” by OS X Mavericks.

Sorry I don’t have the version numbers and I don’t know if newer versions are acceptable to OS X Mavericks.

Update: ATTO now has Mavericks updates.
