Apple Late 2012 3.4 GHz iMac: Photoshop CS6 Auto Align Layers
Thanks to Other World Computing for making the iMac available for testing, as well as the 32GB of 1600 MHz memory.
The Photoshop CS6is used to align different frames, such as when making a stitched panorama with multiple images overlapping each other.
In spite of its 3.4 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, the late 2012 iMac isn’t really any faster than a Mac Pro or even a MacBook Pro on many tasks, and its “fast” GPU is of no help whatsoever on jobs like this.
