How to Safely Transfer Data or Verify Backups — User Comment

See September 21 blog entry for context.

User Greg D writes:

I have been using Chronosync in verification mode for years to copy and backup data in such a way that I can be sure that the copy and original are identical.

But I began recently using your tool because of its capacity to tell me, after the copy is done, and any time after that, if my data is still the same. That's a great feature.

I have used it these last few days after a storage upgrade where I had to move out all the data from my main array on a second backup, then erase this main array to recreate it with more storage space and in Raid6. That meant double copy of nearly 6TB of data. I did validate my data in the 2 steps with your tool.
