Batch export of 128 Canon 21-megapixel CR2 RAW files to 16-bit uncompressed TIF.

Similar to the Lightroom 3 results, the 2011 MacBook Pro is breathing hot on the heels of the 3.33GHz 6-core Mac Pro, which is astonishing, but is perhaps explained by the minimal improvement of CaptureOne Pro from 6 to 12 cores.

The MacBook Pro takes 28% longer than the 3.33GHz 6-core Mac Pro, an excellent result given 4 cores instead of 6, which could be expected to run 50% faster.

The MacBook Pro is about 8% faster than the 2.8GHz Mac Pro.

The 2010 MacBook Pro is a veritable turtle by comparison, taking 96% longer than the 2011 MBP.

Test machines used my preferred SSDs, see the test configuration. Hard drive users will see slightly degraded results over those shown here.
