Image Scaling With PhotoZoom Pro

Last updated March 09, 2011 - Send Feedback
Zeiss Guide

PhotoZoom Pro 4.0.2 scale 6096 X 4558 pixel image linearly by 200%.

Photozoom Pro is processor intensive, and uses all available CPU cores, scaling extremely well.

The 2011 MacBook Pro is more than twice as fast as the 2010 model, showing that there is some secret sauce in the new quad-core processor. Some of that is Turbo Boost, and some if it is the 8MB of cache memory on the 2.3GHz CPU.

Whatever the reason, the speed compared to the 2.8GHz Mac Pro is impressive.

Test machines used my preferred SSDs, see the test configuration. Hard drive users will see slightly degraded results over those shown here.
