Bigger Tiles
This absolutely critical plugin no longer exists in Photoshop CS5, but is directly in the Performance preferences, see the Cache Tile Size page. In Photoshop CS4, it is strongly advised.
DisableScratchCompression plugin
In Photoshop CS4, this plugin was strongly advised.
With enough memory there is no benefit to this plugin in Photoshop CS5.
Analysis of behavior under other conditons is in progress.
DisableVMBuffering plugin / ForceVMBuffering
I observed no difference at all with the DisableVMBuffering plugin on my 3.33GHz Mac Pro Nehalem with 24GB memory and the diglloydMedium benchmark.
