About

When developing server-side code, I often have to reboot my server as many as 50 times a day, so a speedup on this task is a huge plus.

This test measures the time for a web server to startup and to scan and preprocess around 13000 HTML files. It is a good proxy test for any kind of I/O and CPU intensive web server or similar processing load.

The scalability is excellent, given how I/O intensive this test is (about 13000 files to be read during the task). The 2017 iMac 5K takes 74% longer than the 2019 iMac 5K—big win for the 2019 iMac 5K.
