Raw file conversion to JPEG — Sony A7R III raw files
Sony uncompressed raw files are slightly faster to deal with because no decompression is needed although Sony’s compressed format is very fast to decompress.
Double the CPU cores makes for a major gain in speed with the 2019 iMac 5K, with the 2017 iMac 5K taking 56% to 60% longer. That’s not double, but it’s a very solid improvement.
