The 4-bay Promise Pegasus J4 is available as 0GB solution (you supply the drives) or a 2TB (4 X 500GB) solution at OWC.

The Pegasus J4 acts as a HBA (host bus adapter), so the 1 to 4 drives installed in it each appear singly to Disk Utility. And that is a plus, because it allows a variety of options. More on that to come, including performance and configuration options.
