2013 Apple Mac Pro: Visuals

Somehow I’m half expecting apes screeching and stomping around a giant black cylinder, complete with the usual music (think 2010 Space Odyssey).
It’s hard to believe that the outer case is metal—has that glossy plastic look. But the Apple description indicates that it is polished aluminum. I’m dubious on the merits of making aluminum look like plastic, but I’ll have to reserve judgment until I see the exterior case in person.
Maybe it looks really great in person, but most likely the images are computer generated and not real photos (rendering product images is the latest thing)— they look fake as all get out to me (I’m a photographer).

Would it have been that hard to add six or eight USB3 ports to avoid the need to use a USB3 hub? I’ll immediately lose one USB port to a mouse (wireless never works well for me with the mouse 3-4 feet away), and another two to a card and device reader or charger and calibration and etc, so it really means one (1) USB3 port for everything else. Yikes!
Better not put it on the floor, or it could be mistaken for a trash can.
