Upgrading MacBook Pro Memory Does Not Affect the Apple Warranty

MPG: Yes, no problem at all, I've opened both my unibody Macbook Pros more times than I can remember (dozens of times).

You just need a very small screwdriver. OWC sells a Mac toolkit for about $18 with a variety of tools, or a $4.99 5-piece mini toolkit for installing either memory or a drive. I also strongly recommend a magnet to stick the screws to, so that you don’t drop and lose them.
