This test is a real-world task relevant to Adobe Photoshop: batch convert raw files to JPEG. Disk I/O is not a significant factor for any of these machines.
Results: Raw file conversion to JPEG — Hasselblad X1D 3FR raw
Sony uncompressed raw files are slightly faster to deal with because no decompression is needed, although Sony’s lossy-compressed format is very fast to decompress and takes half the time for I/O. This test uses a mix that uses 80% compressed raw and 20% uncompressed raw.

The 2019 MacBook Pro just edges out the 2019 iMac 5K, the difference being within the margin of error. Which is rather impresssive for a laptop.
