Want some extra storage inside your 2023 Mac Pro? Setting aside the SATA ports (more involved mounting/power), there is a single internal USB port inside the Mac Pro which takes a standard USB-A cable.
All I had to do was use the cable supplied with the Samsung T7 Shield and plug it in.
Regrettably that internal port runs at only 5 Gb/sec or about 500 MB/sec. OTOH, it’s slick to have an internal clone backup always there and out of the way. If you move your Mac Pro around, tape it or velcro it inside the chassis somewhere.
