My work machine is a late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina which has a USB headphone amp and a USB microphone attached. MacOS 10.14.3 broke audio in such a way that only one of these will work—if I output sound on the headphone amp, then the microphone cuts out. I’m having to use the internal microphone for the time being. I have a bug report in with Apple.
Naturally, serious work gets done on an AMD EPYC machine running Linux that I recently built.
MPG: it’s sad that Apple cannot seem to build a machine (and software) for years now that is viable for pro apps.
