B&H Photo has generously agreed to loan the Apple 2023 MacBook Pro M3 Max for review, but they just were not getting any of the 16-inch model.

So here in mid December, a 14-inch model with the same specifications showed up, and so my test mule has been swapped out for that.

Same features, same performance, just a smaller screen. Personally I cannot see ever paying that much for a tiny 14-inch display, but if it’s for travel and/or part of a home office setup with separate display and keyboard, then it’s a perfectly fine choice.

Tests coming by this weekend, assuming FedEx does not lose it in transit... has your UPS or FedEx gone flaky? My daughter’s iPhone 15 went missing.
