Save a Few Gigabytes: How to Remove Garage Band

As for me, Apple’s Garage Band is Garbage Band—I don’t want it ever and it eats up gigabytes of space. Why Apple foists it crapware on all users is baffling. Those with small SSDs do not need several gigabytes wasted by Garage Band and other superfluous apps.

Paste these commands into a Terminal window to terminate it along with gigabytes of crap elsewhere:

 sudo rm -rf /Applications/GarageBand.app
sudo rm -rf /Library/Application Support/GarageBand
sudo rm -rf /Library/Audio/Apple Loops

If not using Apple Logic, then also this command:

sudo rm -rf /Library/Application Support/Logic
