Understanding Photoshop and Lightroom Behavior with the MacBook Pro Retina

Photographers should be aware of how the Macbook Pro Retina display behaves with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, which have yet to be upgraded by Adobe to support the MacBook Pro Retina display.

Similar challenges apply to most other photographic applications.

Apple’s Aperture has already been updated to support the Retina display, and the image display quality is stunning, unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before: one cannot see individual pixels, so the display looks like the finest, smoothest print you ever saw, not at all like a computer display. It is a true visual ergonomics breakthrough.
