OWC Mercury Accelsior PCIe SSD 960GB

I’ve done an update of my review of the OWC Mercury Accelsior PCIe SSD, which now includes Photoshop results from the 960GB model.

Wow! The 960GB model performs GREAT and offers huge capacity: stripe two 960GB units and get 1.9 TB of internal storage running at ~1200MB/sec! Perfect for serious power users looking for “the max”.

We can also see that a dual-SSD stripe performs just as well for Photoshop as a triple-SSD stripe, even though there is a 50% speed difference. This is an application (Photoshop) internal bottleneck— fast enough is fast enough for disk I/O.
