OWC 480GB 6G SSDs Coming For Testing

OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSD

Arriving July 2nd are several OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSDs, 480GB capacities not yet having been released for sale (but on pre order status).

I will be testing them in the Mac Pro, MacBook Pro in both single and RAID-0 configurations.

While the current Mac Pro (as of July 2010) still offers only SATA 3G ports, these 6G SSDs as a pair should offer top notch performance— and the Mac Pro motherboard SATA bandwidth maxes-out around 640MB/sec anyway.
