Photoshop CS5 Tests Updated for 16GB Memory in MacBook Pro, 2.8GHz Mac Pro

Never before has 16GB been available in a MacBook Pro!

Today, OWC fits in the missing piece— 8GB memory modules for a total of 16GB in your 2011 MacBook Pro!

The OWC 8GB modules work in the 2011 model MacBook Pro only.

Why would you want 16GB in a MacBook Pro? Because the 2011 MacBook Pro quad-core CPU performs nearly as well as the 3.33GHz 6-core Mac Pro. Test results with 16GB coming later today.

The MacBook Pro 8GB memory limit had been a hard performance wall for using the MacBook Pro as a replacement for a desktop computer, for example, large Photoshop files.

Mac Pro or MacBook Pro?

Today, potential Mac Pro users can now entertain the idea of a portable system with Mac Pro power, made possible by 16GB memory and the advent of Thunderbolt for high-speed disk I/O.
