Memory prices drop for MacBook Pro 8GB kit

Memory prices have declined even a bit more. The OWC 8GB kit is now $299.99, and if you apply for the rebate, you get $50 back.

Not everyone needs 8GB, but it’s a no-brainer if you work with multiple applications or big files.

Plus, Mac OS X uses extra memory for caching, which means launching/quitting/launching an application can be considerably faster. And so on for any/all disk access.
