  • Up to 16GB can be installed in a 2011 MacBook Pro.
  • All other recent models can accept up to 8GB.
  • Several-year-old models have other limits— ask OWC.

MacBook Pro 16GB as 2 X 8GB

Most users should go straight to 16GB, given the very low price which is now 10% or less than the price of a well-configured 15" or 17" MacBook Pro.
